The Huntsville FC Total
Soccer Development program is both a Curriculum and a Philosophy.
The primary goal of HFC is to provide
development and competitive opportunities for all ages and all ability
levels. To accomplish this goal we have implemented a "Total Soccer
Development" system of training.
HFC currently offers playing opportunities
from Division IV (Recreational) through Premier League (Regional
Champions League).
The Coaching staff is unparalleled in
Alabama
and one of the most experienced in the south. Among our staff, we have
several coaches with National Coaching Licenses; many former college
players; former college All-Americans; former National team players;
former professional players, coaches with additional Brazilian, Dutch
and German Coaching Licenses; current and former high school and college
coaches; and playing experience from the United States, England,
Trinidad, Finland, Germany, Uganda and other. Foremost in the mind of
each coach is the desire to share with every HFC player a genuine love
for the world’s beautiful game.

HFC is excited to announce the start of the U8
spring season on February 22nd. We will still be
following the 1 practice and 1 match day schedule that we
used in the Fall. The first week of the season will consist
of a practice on the 22nd and 24th and then move into the 1
practice./1 match system.
We are hoping for fewer rain outs this Spring than in the
Fall, but just in case we will offer make ups for rain out
days on Saturday mornings from 9-10 am. These rain out
sessions will be used to make up missed games or practices.

Attention Soccer Community
Bonita Phillips (mom of three soccer players --Brooke,
Claire, and Will ), has been battling Lupus for years.
It has attacked her kidneys doing irreversible
damage. The Drs
at UAB, Mayo Clinic and Huntsville have concluded that she
must have a kidney transplant.
On Jan 13, we met with the UAB kidney transplant
team.
They approved her for the UAB cadaver
transplant list with over 3,000 other patients with an
estimated 5-8 years waiting.
We are currently seeking a living donor for her
immediately.
Why? Her kidney
function is currently below 20% and she must start dialysis
any day now.
Doctors at UAB encourage a transplant before dialysis starts
because the success rate of the transplant is greater.
The UAB Doctors said that even if someone donates
their kidney they still have 5 times the kidney function
needed. What
does it take to be a donor?
Bonita is B blood type.
The donor can be either type B or O and in good
health. All of
the donor's medical costs are covered.
Any one who is interested in becoming a donor can
contact Bonita's Transplant Coordinator at UAB or Bonita or
Kendell directly for more information.
God Bless - Kendell Phillips

Please consider being a organ
donor the next time you renew your driver's license.
This could save a life.
