  •  Region III (South) Olympic Development Program Staff Coach

  • At AUM, the Men went to 4 N.A.I.A. National Tournaments (2000-2004).  Men’s 4 year record was 80-11-5.

  • At AUM, I was the Head Coach at the 2004 Women’s National Tournament. Lost in the round of 8 to the eventual champions.  Women’s 4 year record was 65-25-5.

  • Fourteen years of college coaching experience. Coached Junior College, N.A.I.A., NCAA Div. III, NCAA Div. II and Played NCAA Div. I

  •  Three time Coach of The Year in the Georgia Athletic Conference N.A.I.A. 2002 Georgia-Alabama-Carolina Conference Men’s and Women’s Soccer Chair

  •  2003 AFLAC Assistant National Coach of The Year

  • Masters in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management.

  • USSF B (Wake Forest 1992), NSCAA National Soccer License.  Member of National Soccer Coaches Association, US Soccer Association, Georgia State Soccer Association.

  • Coached 7 Academic All-Americans, 23 Collegiate All-Americans, 6 National Team players and a 2-Time NAIA Player of the Year including Jason Moore, Troy Gardner, Stacy Hunt, Eric Vogel, Kyle Helton, and Cameron Lewis.

 2009-2010 YMCA of Montgomery - Director of Coaching for the Capital City Streaks

  • Direct soccer camps, increase participation, organize the club.

COACHING EXPERIENCE:              

1975-2010 - 72’, 76’, 80’, 84’, 86’, Georgia/Alabama Olympic State Team

  • Coached at 10 different youth clubs over 35 years.

2000-2004 - Auburn University @ Montgomery, Montgomery, Alabama.    N.A.I.A., GACC

Assistant Men and Women Soccer Coach

  • Coached in 5 National Tournaments, Finishing in the finals twice.

1998-1999 - Dekalb Community College, Dunwoody, Georgia.   Presently Georgia Perimeter College.  NJCAA 1

Men’s Associate Head Coach

  • Won 20 games, losing to the National Finalist in the Southeast Final.

  •  In charge of daily training sessions and game evaluations.

1995-98 - Clayton College & State University, Morrow, Georgia.   NCAA DIVISION II, Peach Belt Conference.

Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach

  • Started the women’s program from scratch.

  • Restarted the men’s program (5 returnees, only had 4 months from start to kick off).

  • Women’s team had the highest GPA among all sports since the inception of the program.

  • Took the men to their first conference final in school history.

1992-95 - Brewton-Parker College, Mount Vernon, Georgia.   NAIA, Georgia Athletic Conference.

Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach

  • Started both the men’s and women’s soccer programs.

  • Men’s program was ranked 20th nationally in their third year.

  • Women’s program was ranked 4th nationally in their third year.

  • The women lost in the Semi-Finals in the National Tournament their third year.

  • In 1992, the men did not lose in the state of Georgia, as they knocked off traditional powers GA Southern, Berry, and Augusta College.  Voted the best college team in the state by The Southern Soccer Scene.

Director of Intramurals

  • Coordinated all activities for eight sports in the Brewton-Parker College Intramural Sports Organization.

 1990-92 - Oglethorpe University, Atlanta, Georgia.  NCAA DIVISION III, Southern Athletic Conference.

Head Women’s/Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach

  • Took the women’s soccer team to the first post season soccer Tournament in school history.

Head Men’s Tennis Coach

  • Coordinated daily practices, budgeting, recruiting, training, and player development.

 1989-90 - LaGrange College, LaGrange, Georgia.   NAIA, Georgia Athletic Conference.

Assistant Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach

  • Men’s team was ranked 7th in the south, for the first and last time in school history.

  • Women’s team won their first varsity game in school history.

Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis coach

  • Directed, developed, and recruited players for both tennis teams.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE:  Invited to help prepare the St. Kitt’s National Team for the Shell Cup.

OTHER:

Started two varsity women’s college soccer programs and one men’s varsity college soccer program from scratch.  Coached in over 200 collegiate games.

Played at Georgia Southern University NCAA Div. I.  Leader in scoring and assists as a freshman and sophomore and All-T.A.A.C. as a sophomore.  

Played for Datagraphics U-16 and U-19 soccer teams, U-19 finished 3rd in the country.  Selected on the first U-17 State Team in 1982

Three time Coach of The Year in the Georgia Athletic Conference.

Served on the National Board of Soccer in the Streets.

Coached at many regional camps including:  Atlanta Chief’s Boot Camp, Duke University Soccer Camp, University of South Carolina Soccer Camp, Clemson University, Lanzera Regional Soccer Camp, Georgia Southern University Soccer Camp, Georgia State Soccer Camp, ODP Soccer Camp and B.P.C. Soccer Camp.

Directed Clayton State Soccer Camp, Mike Mitchell Soccer Camps and Oglethorpe Tennis Camp.  

Coach of the Georgia State Olympic Soccer Teams’ (ODP)  that won a gold medal in South Carolina 72’s,  and the 1986 GA Boys team that placed 8 on The Region III Team, three on the Youth National Team U-17’s.

Coached Youth Soccer since I was 10 years old at: S.W. Dekalb YMCA, North United, Anheuser- Busch, Concord, Datagraphics, Douglas County, Metro North, North Metro and Cobb Union Soccer Associations.
