Well – here we are! You blink and next thing you know – State Cup is right around the corner! Along with State Cup comes the call for tryouts soon after as well.

Only a handful of divisions have a spring state cup but as those teams finish preparations for the big event – we wish everyone the best of luck and health in your pursuits.

Tryouts are to be held from June 2 – 10th. Exact times and dates per age group will be listed by mid May. As well, Coaching assignments will be posted after the upcoming State Cup.

I always like this time of year because I find myself amused and enticed with the crazy rumors that spread like wild fire! Just remember that concerning HFC – anything having to do with coaching assignments, team formation, or player movement will be coming from HFC management and not from a random club citizen…. So be sure to check with your Directors for the most up to date information.

Congratulations to our graduating players for securing College scholarships and pursuing their dreams of being a scholar athlete. All of the girls are from the ’94 Blue team, coached by Marty Clark. Zach and Brent are from the ’94 Blue Boys, coached by Mikko Jetsu.

U12 to U13 Transition Training

Huntsville FC will again be offering FREE training to the North Alabama community to facilitate progression from the 8v8 game at U12 to the BIG GAME of 11v11. This training is open to all boys and girls that will be making the transition to the big game for the fall 2012 season. Henry Mpagi, Technical Director for HFC, will conduct all training and be assisted by other DOC’s and HFC staff as numbers dictate.

Training will occur for two weeks starting May 14^th and will conclude with an invitational tournament in Chattanooga, TN over the Memorial Day weekend.

HFC’s own U12 boys and girls teams will be at the core of this event and we encourage all players interested in HFC or just getting access to higher level training contact us for more information.
